About the Open Table Collective
The Open Table Collective is an ever-inclusive and affirming collective of individuals on a spiritual journey. We seek to cultivate courageously receptive spaces for wrestling with nuances of faith so we can walk alongside one another without fear or judgment. We seek to live and grow in our integrity through the integration of body, mind, heart, and soul. Our collective, rooted in compassion, expresses itself in working towards and promoting holistic justice, mercy, and love.
We are an organization where questions are welcome, where following God includes the freedom to be yourself, and where your story is a chapter in God’s bigger story; a community that creates well-being and flourishing for all people in the name and person of Jesus.
Our Team
We are grateful for all the conversations, mentoring, and input we have received over many years, which have culminated in what is now known as The Open Table Collective.
As with any organization, it takes the help of countless friends and colleagues, both behind the scenes and in front-facing roles, to bring everything into fruition. We are deeply thankful to God for every individual who has offered and continues to offer their experiences, hearts, and gifts with us.

Danny Cox
Danny spent nearly 22 years as a leader, artist, pastor, and elder within one of the largest evangelical churches in the country. With a graduate degree from Fuller Seminary in Global Leadership, God developed a passion in Danny for people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, and faiths as well as a heart for communities that have been excluded or marginalized. Danny's first career was as a professional touring, recording, and performing musical artist with a strong belief that art and beauty are important aspects of God's design and can speak to the grays of a human heart and soul that the spoken word cannot reach.
In March of 2022 Danny stepped away from his role as lead pastor in the conservative evangelical church to explore what it could look like to participate in a Jesus-centered community that would truly welcome all people to the table of Christ, without strings attached.
In January of 2023, The Open Table Collective was birthed which is committed to curating fully inclusive and affirming Jesus-centered spaces and places for all people to not only be welcomed but able to fully participate in the holistic expression of the faith community.
Danny and his wife Amy have been married for 29 years and they have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
